Bricktown/Ozarka Races 2006

|
Super Drag Boat Racing The Bricktown Ozarka sponsored boat races in Oklahoma City was a super racing event. The boats were fast and the races were started with minimal delay. I haven’t seen that many fast boats at one race. The heat was extreme and shade was at a premium. I think the only thing I recommend for next year is to provide some sort canopies and possibly some spray misters to allow the spectators to escape from the hot sun and heat. Over all I thought the race promoters and sponsors did an excellent job of setting up the race course. SDBA did a superior job of running the races. It is hard to believe how well they were able to run a smooth race program with so many boats. There was one crash, but the driver was retrieved safely with credit due to the crash recovery crew. They were alert throughout the races and right on top of the situation when the need arose. |
