The following information is provided to help you develop your web site budget. Standard prices are subject to change. Specific bids other than standard pricing will not be furnished until after a consulting session to determine your specific needs and a specific plan is prepared. If you have a detailed plan in place a bid can be prepared based on that information.

Internet Access - (Currently not provided by MSM Services)

This is the service that allows you to access the internet for browsing (viewing web pages) and for your E-mail service. Most providers will give you unlimited "dial up" access. Which means that you can have your computer dial the internet anytime you want. They also include one (1) E-mail account and space for a personal web site. This web site normally can be used for business or personal web sites.
You can not use a "Domain Name" with these web sites. The address would be similar to: http:www.flash.net/~username or http:www.swbell/~username "username" would be the name of your account and could be any series of number and letter combinations. This is a very economical way to get on the internet, but has limitations for businesses.

Domain Name Registration - Domain Name registration fee is $20.00 per year.

This is the preferred method for businesses. You get many more benefits and many major search engines will list your web site for free.
This will give you a web address similar to: http://www.yourcompany.com (If this name is already in use we can pick another name that is suitable to you. I can research the name before we apply for the registration).
The Domain Name web site also requires a hosting service.

Some services will charge a $50.00 set up fee (We do not charge a set up fee).

Sites hosted with MSM Services will be provided with an online control panel that makes monitoring and maintaining your web site a simple process.

Our web hosting is connected directly to the Internet backbone through Qwest Communications. This creates a fast and "always online" internet site.

Ecommerce Web Sites

Our plus account is tailored to setting up your store on the internet. It gives you additional web storage space and extra Email accounts. The plus account comes with Secure Server and Shopping Cart features installed to get you up and running right away. If you need assistance, MSM Services has account agents established with major financial institutions to assist in acquiring your merchant account. This can be tailored to your specific needs (including real time, online credit card processing).

Web Design (Design Tips)

Web Site design starts with a simple web page with two or three graphics/pictures and text (approximately the size of a single 8 1/2 x 11 sheet). More complex web sites are available. You can reduce the costs if you furnish all graphics, photos, logos, text and other materials. Custom designed sites are priced by bid package after web design consulting. We can also take all photos, design graphics and animations tailored to your specific needs. If you like we can add sound files and video files to your web site.

Web Design Consulting is available beginning with a two hour session. The consulting fee needs to be paid in full at time of consulting. The consulting will entail complete web site planning. Web Design Consulting is a detailed and specific process of laying out your web site. However, we'll be happy to discuss different approaches and basic web concepts with you (no fee for this).

MSM Services can maintain your web site. If you just need an occasional minor update, we don't charge for that if we do the web design for you. This can be scaled up or down at any time depending on your current needs. If you would prefer updates can be done on an as needed basis and priced according to the complexity of the changes.

MSM Services can maintain complete back up files on disk for your entire web site. If we do the all of the file uploading and your site is hosted with us this service is included in the hosting fees. If your hosting service is with a different provider and/or someone other than MSM Services uploads your files then there will be a fee each time the web site is downloaded and saved to disk. (Note: Web site hosting includes automatic backups each day at no extra charge that you can use to restore damaged files).

Onsite training is available if you want to maintain your web site yourself or by one of your employees. We can train on using design software, uploading files, using and understanding web data files. We are also available for follow up assistance after initial training (usually just a free phone call will handle most situations).

Photo Editing - Photo editing can be simple or complex depending on the quality of the original and the desired results. If the images are of good quality; a photo can be scanned, cropped and optimized for web presentation. Smaller sized images (called thumbnails) can be made from edited image. The thumb nails are included in the standard design fees.

Complex Editing includes:

Image Restoration - removing scratches or imperfections.

Isolating portions of the photo and making the background transparent or pasting to a colorized background.

Color tuning is normally done as a part of simple photo editing, however, extensive tuning and colorizing will fall into the complex photo editing.

Custom Graphics work includes such items as banners, animated graphics, rotating photos and other special effects.

Video/Audio files can be included into the standard design fees if they are internet ready. VHS tapes can be made internet ready (priced on request) in the following formats:

Real Player - Streaming video or any single transfer speed from 28.8 to cable modem.

Microsoft Media - Any format from 28.8 to 3MB .

Standard AVI - These files are used for downloadable files

Audio files can be produced in wave, Microsoft Media or Real Player format.

Real Player Slide Shows with audio can also be made in the same formats as Real Player Video.

If your web hosting does not provide for a Real Media Server, I can serve the media files from my server.

Web Site Promotion

MSM Services can assist in promoting your web site. All custom and complex Web Site Design packages include search engine submission to the major search engines. Special site preparation and submission to 250 search engines is available.
We can also prepare and distribute press releases to promote your web site.
Other promotional techniques are available.
